Vince Zampella, Dies in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The celebrated video game developer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a highway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
