The Streaming Giant Selects Ideal Star for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Season 3
Baroque Works is geared up to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the major clash won’t unfold until the next season, and a beloved, popular member has just been cast.
The streaming service revealed recently that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bon Clay. The role has the ability to morph into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their right hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the source material and anime.
The new cast member is joined by several other recently announced actors set to bring Baroque Works to life, such as leader Mr. 0, brought to life by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Even though this character is a major member of the group, the persona will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Considering the second season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this marks a notable change in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could signal further changes to the plot development.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
The platform’s adapted One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10, 2026.
