PSG Edges Marseille via Spot-Kicks to Lift Trophee des Champions Super Cup in Kuwait.
The Parisian club has now claimed the prestigious cup on fourteen different times.
Paris Saint-Germain needed a stoppage-time equaliser followed by a successful penalty shootout to get past Marseille in the Gulf and secure a fourth straight Trophee des Champions victory.
The European champions appeared to be sailing towards a comfortable win in the showdown between the Ligue 1 winners and the Coupe de France holders after Ousmane Dembele found the net in the opening stages.
Yet, the southern French side fired two times in the closing moments to seize a shock lead. Initially, Mason Greenwood converted from the spot-kick, before Willian Pacho inadvertently turned the ball into his own net for an own-goal.
In a breathtaking turn of events, the Portuguese striker snatched a vital equaliser in the final moments to force the match into a deciding shootout. PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier then emerged as the key figure, saving decisive kicks from Matt O'Riley and Hamed Traore.
In the shootout, Ramos, the midfielder, the full-back, and Desire Doue all converted successfully for PSG to seal a convincing penalty win.
Now 14-time champions PSG, who met last season's Ligue 1 second-placed team Olympique de Marseille after achieving a domestic double, have now lifted this competition for the 12th time in the past thirteen seasons.
