Militiamen chuckle as they ride on the back of a transport truck, racing past a series of nine dead bodies and heading facing the descending Sudanese evening sky.

"Observe such work. Observe this genocide," a fighter exclaims.

The fighter beams as he points the recording device on himself and his companion combatants, their Rapid Support Forces identification visible: "These people are all going to perish this way."

The combatants are celebrating a massacre that relief organizations suspect resulted in the deaths of more than thousands of people in the Sudan's urban center of el-Fasher in recent weeks.

A City Cut Off from the Outside

After maintaining the urban area under blockade for nearly an extended period, from late summer the RSF moved to strengthen its control and blockade the leftover inhabitants.

Orbital photography reveal that fighters commenced to erect a enormous earth barrier - a raised earthen wall - encircling the boundaries of the city, closing entry points and blocking humanitarian assistance.

While the blockade worsened, multiple people were slain in an RSF assault on a religious building on September 19th, while the United Nations reported fifty-three further were slain in unmanned aircraft and artillery attacks on a makeshift community in fall.

Graphic Video Reveals Defenseless People Shot

At dawn on late October the paramilitary force overwhelmed the last army positions and seized the central headquarters in the city, the command center of the Military Unit, as the army retreated.

Perhaps the most disturbing footage to appear and analysed showed the results of a massacre at a educational facility on the western side of the urban area, where scores corpses were visible scattered across the ground.

An elderly individual wearing a robe remained by himself amid the bodies. The individual turned to look as a militiaman equipped with a rifle proceeded descending the staircase facing him. lifting his firearm, the fighter released a single round at the victim, who dropped to the surface motionless.

"How come is this one yet living," another militiaman shouted. "Kill him."

Orbital photography recorded on 26 October appeared to confirm that executions were additionally carried out on the thoroughfares of al-Fashir, based on a study issued by the university analysis team.

One witness who communicated reported the individual had observed "multiple of our kin being killed - these individuals were assembled in a specific area and everyone murdered."

Militia Commanders Try to Conduct Reputation Management

Following the events that followed the massacre, RSF commander acknowledged that his fighters had committed "violations" and announced the incidents would be investigated.

Part of the arrested was after a report documenting his killings. Deliberately choreographed and modified recording posted on the RSF's formal messaging platform show the individual being led into a prison room at a detention facility on the edges of el-Fasher.

Simultaneously, the militia and associated digital channels started seeking to alter the account.

Updates showing its militiamen distributing supplies to residents were circulated by several individuals, while the militia's public relations unit shared multiple videos purporting to demonstrate the proper handling of government detainees.

Regardless of the online effort being used by the paramilitary, their conduct in el-Fasher have provoked global condemnation.
