Manchester United Set to Sign German Forward Lea Schüller from Bayern Munich
Manchester United are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific German striker Lea Schüller in a permanent move from Bayern Munich.
A Marquee Acquisition for United
Schüller, who has six months left on her deal, is known as a prolific goal-getter for both club and country. Having scored more than 100 goals for Bayern and scored 54 times in 82 appearances for her country. This signing is viewed as a marquee coup for the Women’s Super League side.
Her exit from Bayern has been anticipated after she was seen holding back emotions while thanking the club's supporters after a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
Reports in late December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was losing one of its top forwards. According to reports, the formalities for the move have now been completed.
Reliable Goal Threat to Strengthen United's Forward Line
The experienced striker's arrival should represent a significant uplift to United’s forward line. She has been remarkably reliable with her finishing in Germany’s top flight.
- Over seven straight seasons, including the most recent campaign, she reached at least a double-figures tally of league goals.
- She won the Golden Boot in 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals.

Securing the German international coincides with a period when the club seem to be building positive momentum.
