Passionate followers of the actress are urging that a individual who jumped a fence and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A viral video shows the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the cast walked down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records revealed that he was set to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile includes recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a legal violation," stated an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over the Star's Well-being

Numerous supporters criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote one more response on Instagram.

A number of fans also faulted guards at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while others demanded digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande appeared shocked when she was touched by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful film of 2024 in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, securing several for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
