This strategic shift follows major restructuring at the state-funded body, including the departure of its ex-leader last month after both employee protests and ministerial calls for strategic overhaul.

Increasing Digital Threats

The new mission comes amid rising apprehension about Britain's vulnerability to digital service failures and cyber-attacks.

Recent situations have highlighted these vulnerabilities, including a major outage affecting international online platforms and recent cyber-attacks that halted manufacturing at major factories and logistics systems across several organizations.

Management and Supervision

A previous senior officer of the Britain's aerial defense command will deliver recommendations next month on how the publicly-supported center can most effectively assist the scope of official artificial intelligence goals in national security, national security and intelligence.

The center's head, a previous Amazon UK leader, confirmed that 78 different research projects at the organization with 440 employees have been closed, spun out or finished because they do not align with the revised strategy.
